Portrait of Dr. Robin M Boylorn

Dr. Robin M. Boylorn is the inaugural Holle Endowed Chair of Communication Arts, Founding Executive Director of the Holle Center for Communication Arts, and Distinguished Research Professor in the College of Communication and Information Sciences at The University of Alabama.

Her work centers on the communication and characterization of Black women and Black families in the US South. A qualitative methodologist and critical autoethnographer, Boylorn's storied scholarship focuses on the relationship between culture, representation, and her notion of "narrative justice," which argues that everyone has a story to tell and a story worth telling.
