Dr. Jacqueline M. Cofield
Black Women and the Arts

Dr. Jacqueline M. Cofield is a scholar, educator, and curator whose work explores the intersections of the arts, education, and social justice. Holding a doctorate in Arts-based Multicultural Curriculum Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University, her award-winning research centers Black women artists' epistemologies and aesthetic praxes. She is a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art and teaches at CUNY Hunter College and Marymount Manhattan College. Jacqueline is also the founder of Cultured Arts Consulting and the host of the Beyond Beauty podcast, which amplifies the voices and creative practices of Global Majority women artists across the diaspora.
